As a student athlete, many have dreams of going pro. It’s fabulous to have those aspirations and sports provide numerous unmatched opportunities and experiences whether a student ultimately goes to the pros or not. However, if your “Plan A” is becoming a pro athlete and it doesn’t happen, do you have a “Plan B”? Shouldn’t your “Plan B” (i.e. becoming a doctor, lawyer, plumber, teacher, etc.) actually be your “Plan A”? How do you leverage your time as a student athlete to receive benefits outside of your sport? You’ll value the debate put forth by the student athletes, pro athletes, retired athletes and athletes who didn’t make it to the pros or chose a different career, other than sports, in “Beyond the Game”.
