About The Event
Think “Inside the Actor’s Studio” meets “College Game Day” with some extra fun, philanthropy and athlete education mixed in. Celebrating, sharing and updating our audiences, Director/Executive Producer Susan Sember and her special guests will give you a behind the scenes look into the film production. They will also discuss the mission behind the documentary, host intimate and impactful conversations and preview some of the film’s sneak peaks. Add in a splash of awards, entertainment and giveaways!
Due to the ongoing pandemic affecting everyone across the world, we are hosting this first online event in advance of the premiere of our film, Beyond The Game. Now more than ever, we also believe “Beyond the Game” is a necessity in this unprecedented time of sports, education and service. We invite you to join us.

Susan Sember
Executive Producer, Director & Writer for “Beyond the Game”; Attorney in Sports
As a seasoned filmmaker and former entertainment and sports law attorney, Susan Sember is the Executive Producer and Director for “Beyond the Game”. For over 20 years, Susan has created, from concept to distribution, award winning films that have traveled to 52 countries. She has partnered with numerous corporations, educational institutions, governmental entities and nonprofits to effectively collaborate through the art of film as a platform for outreach, cause marketing, and branding. As a producer and director, Susan has been a presenter and shown her films at such recognized festivals as the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, Sarasota Film Festival and Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Three of her films have been previewed at the United Nations. Since the inception of “Beyond the Game”, Susan has been called upon to present to sports organizations regarding an athlete’s transitions and has published four magazines on related topics, as well. She has authored, “Beyond the Game: The Official Film Companion”, which will be released with the documentary. As founder of Silverlight Films, Susan will commercially distribute “Beyond the Game” through theaters. broadcast, VOD and other. With over 600 hours of footage, a Peer to Peer Education program will also provide student athletes, pro athletes and retired athletes impactful content in accompaniment to the film. Over 80 colleges, universities and schools have signed up for the “Beyond the Game” college tour. Susan is a proud alum of the University of Michigan, mother of a precocious golden retriever puppy and lives in Malibu, California.

Director of Strategic Initiatives, Symphony
Jodi McLean is the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Symphony, a healthcare communications agency in St. Petersburg, FL. As the growth catalyst for Symphony, she has a keen eye for identifying and aligning with key partners and growth-focused healthcare organizations looking to scale and meet the current demands of patient-centric healthcare. Jodi is a Michigan native, University of Michigan graduate and mega-fan, and a happy Florida beach resident since 1997. Her personal brand is that of an Intrapreneur, published author, personal branding expert, business pitching aficionado, partnership builder, multimedia producer, and TV/radio specialist with over 25 years of broadcast and marketing experience. Jodi serves on the University of Michigan Tampa Bay Alumni Board as the former Chair of the Career committee, and volunteers for the ESPN Gasparilla Bowl committee and Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. She is a frequent blogger, national content contributor, and panelist/moderator for business events.

Educational Sports-Related Entrepreneur and Producer of “Beyond the Game Film”
Jarvis Johnson is a current Educational Sports Entrepreneur and a producer of “Beyond the Game Film”. Jarvis is a native of Miami, Florida and former professional NFL athlete playing for the Baltimore Ravens in 2005. The NFL days of business, team leadership, mentoring and world-class excitement motivated Johnson both on and off the field. He completed his BA in Administration of Justice from Rutgers University and obtained his Master of Science in Counseling from Tiffin University while being in one of the NFL Coaching Internship programs. By 2009, Jarvis transitioned into the NCAA market of Coaching. He coached at Clark Atlanta University, Kean University, and held many roles at the University of Miami from 2014-17. He loves to say, “I played for a purpose and coach for the future.” By 2018, Coach J had been coaching for 5 years, served as an Academic Counselor, and obtained his Finance Certificate from the University of Miami. He also attended several NFL/NFLPA programs, worked with over 700+ Professional Athletes, and was profiled by the NFL Communications & Public Affairs Daily News. His company, Connect the Gap, designs non-traditional style educational workshops, seminars, programs, and services for the Sports Industry and College/Universities.

Jeff Hoffman is an award-winning global entrepreneur, proven CEO, worldwide motivational speaker, bestselling author, Hollywood film producer, a producer of a Grammy winning jazz album, and executive producer of an Emmy Award winning television show. In his career, he has been the founder of multiple startups, he has been the CEO of both public and private companies, and he has served as a senior executive in many capacities. Jeff has been part of a number of well-known successful startups, including Priceline.com/Booking.com, uBid.com and more. Jeff serves on the boards of companies in the US, Europe, the Middle East, South America, Africa, and Asia. He supports entrepreneurs and small businesses on a worldwide basis. He is the Chairman of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, which works with entrepreneurs in 180 countries, as well as being a founding board member of The Unreasonable Group, whose startup companies have operations in 185 countries and have raised over $4 billion in funding. He is also the Global Chairman of Dream Tank, a worldwide youth problem solving network. Jeff supports the White House, the State Department, the United Nations, and similar organizations internationally on economic growth initiatives and entrepreneurship programs. Jeff was honored with the Champion of Entrepreneurship Award from JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, and Rising Tide Capital, as well as receiving the George Brown Award for International Cooperation from the US State Department. Jeff received the Commitment to Excellence Award from CitySummit in 2019, as well as receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award and being inducted into the Entrepreneurs Hall of Fame for his contributions to the field of entrepreneurship. He was also honored with the Best of the Best Award from the national CEO association (Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization).

Entrepreneur; Founder of Beyond the Basics, Inc.; Professor at University of Pennsylvania; NFL Linebacker for the New England Patriots
Brandon Copeland is a husband, father, son, brother, believer of Christ, entrepreneur and a linebacker for the NFL’s New England Patriots. Copeland is from Baltimore, MD and now lives in New Jersey. He graduated with a degree in Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania before going on to owning and operating two real estate companies and a nonprofit organization, Beyond the Basics, with his wife Taylor. This offseason he entered into his second year as an Ivy League professor at his alma mater, teaching “Life 101” about financial literacy and the constants of life.
